Preschool Fun in the Making!

Thought I'd share some fun ideas I have planned for the kiddos during Halloween Centers this year! I think they'll LOVE it! By the time the party rolls around the kids will have lifesize 3/4 year old "skeletons" they've made of themselves hanging all over the walls and ceiling-which should just add to the excitement of the holiday. (Came up with this idea in the middle of my sleep one night-I tell ya! Check it out: Trace around the kiddo's silhouette on black butcher paper and cut it out roughly....give the kids various size dog biscuits in the shape of bones and let them stamp their bones in white paint on the correct spots on their skeleton cutout self!.....cute right???? We'll see!)

The theme this year is going to be a "Martone's Mad Scientist Hullaballoo!" Mike is going to "blow up" a pumpkin (with polyurethane foam-which expands to 30 times it's original size!), the kids are going to have green goblin goo in science beakers for drinks, eyeballs with forks stuck in them (doughnut holes) and witches brew (with dragons teeth & other silly things in the mix-recipe below) for snack. In class this month they will help make a MILK JUG SKELETON SISTER (because we already have 1-her brother-lol!) to be displayed hoping to "spook" our classroom visitors, and these are some of the stations they will get to rotate to: 1.Candy Corn Cupcake Decorating.....fun! 2. Baby food jar pumpkin or ghost votive.....SUPER easy and....fun! 3. Mad scientist experiments with Soda Pop & Mentos/Making their own Moon Sand.....fun! 4. Mummy Treat cups (to eat Witche's Brew out of)! Should be a pretty enjoyable bash! And to top it off-I've got the best parent helpers coming in to help that day! Could I ask for more?

Witches Brew Recipe

1 Cup Bat Droppings (Cocoa Puffs)
1 Cup Dragon Teeth (Candy Corn)
1 Cup Owl Eyeballs (Cheeto Balls)
1 Cup Frank’s Fingernails (Bugles Chips)
1 Cup Pirate Bones & Treasure (Lucky Charms)
1 Cup Goblin Belly Buttons (M&M’s)

Stir together using wooden witches broom in a big black cauldron-serve to un-suspecting little children! Happy Halloween!!!!
