Auntie Shannon took the kids to Dusty's Harvest Festival today. Emma was SUPER excited. She hollered at Shannon (who was in the car ahead of us) to "wait Sanna-wait...I'm coming" (for fear that Shannon had changed her mind about taking her bye bye!) Relieved when I dropped her off with Kirsten & Shannon at the pumpkin patch, EmmaLee gladly left my side! Bryce on the other hand-not so much. So while the others did their thing, I snuggled Bryce in a blanket and walked him around to see all the festivities. Emma got to enjoy her time with Auntie Shannon by riding ponies, picking out pumpkins, getting balloon art and her face painted! While Bryce toddled around he saw the balloon man too and decided he wanted a "buh-you"-so the nice man made him a baby pumpkin. Across the way, was a face painting station and Bryce promptly said "na-na-na-na-baman"(He LOVES Batman). So they painted a bat on his little face. He wanted it SOOOOO bad that he sat as if he were frozen in his seat. They could have painted those little cheeks all day-he wasn't gonna move-he really wanted that Batman! I was completely shocked of course. Boy is he particular for being ONE! When we got home, Em was ecstatic about showing Mike the pumpkin she had picked out-it's like they say, it's the little things in life! Thank you for such a fun morning Auntie Shannon.
