Trunk or Treat 2012

This year before we headed to Trunk or Treat, we paid a visit to Kirsten at the dorms.

She was getting ready to go to her own halloween party, but wanted to give the kiddos some candy beforehand.

What a fun, completely homemade costume Kirsten created! So clever. It's nice to have her so close here at CWU. The kids love to visit her-and she likes her time with them too.

Off to the ward trunk of treat.....it was POURING down rain outside, glad there were festivities inside for a while-giving the rain a chance to die down a little out there.

Each classroom had a carnival game going on in it. Taryn was in charge of this one. They tied a balloon around the kids ankle and then set them free to pop each others balloons. The one to have an in tact balloon at the end is the winner!

Bryce WON! Then it was determined that no one had thought of a way to get the knotted string off the children! Laurel to the rescue!!!!

There were your typical fishing for prizes booth, and halloween bowling with empty 2 liter bottles,

pumpkin sock toss, and homemade treats in the gym.

My dear friend Rachel was a Day of the Dead doll, scary & cute at the same time....It freaked Bryce out when she came & hugged him. Then she spoke & he realized it was his best friend Blake's momma!

Blake and freakshow Black Spiderman Bryce
the cakewalk with Grandma Sandy & all their friends. We were in this room FOREVER. Apparently it is still a favorite of children everywhere :)

Blake's dad Aaron was a mummy-with an EXCELLENT costume. He is also the young men's president & in charge of the "spook alley". It turned out A-M-A-Z-I-N-G....as usual. Rachel & I were joking that if he didn't do such a great job one of these times, they'd STOP asking him! He puts in a lot of effort & it shows.

The happily married couple! lol
and the 3 amigos-Cade, Bryce & Blake

Mike really was enjoying himself. Don't let the bad camera shot fool you. :)
Outside, it was slightly sprinkling-no big deal. The kids didn't even notice! They made the rounds to each trunk that surrounded the perimeter of the building in seconds flat!

EmmaLee & Amie the doctor (just like her grandpa)

Bryces favorite person-Sister Weber.

Back inside, the prizes were handed out for best costume etc while the littles sorted their stash of goodies. What a fun but exhausting night! Until next year when we do it all again....goodnight!
