Sun-kissed Cousins

Today was Memorial Day-overcast & dreary-but who cares....we were determined to make the most of it! Mike had to get some schoolwork done for his principal degree, so Ashley and I decided to pack some lunches and throw the kids in the car for a trip to the Moses Lake Waterpark. It was 70 degrees and a bit humid out, but we figured-if it started raining, whatever-that would just ADD to the adventure! :) My sister is such a good sport!
Bryce was all over it! He even got to wear his new HULK tattoo to the pool (which pretty much washed off the second it was covered in chlorinated water....sad)
Emma couldn't have been more excited to be there-can't you tell?
Auntie Ashley was great-she took care of the kids the entire time...so I got to do what I love best-use my Nikon! These 2 just LOVE their Auntie!
Go figure that 10 minutes after we get there-Ashley bumped into our cousin Parker! Crazy??? Yes! He had 2 year old Natalie and 8 month old Christopher with him.
EmmaLee and Natty had an INSTANT connection! They were stuck together like Bee's & Honey the ENTIRE time! Emma kept saying "Come on my friend!"
They were 2 peas in a pod-Natty & Em. Two little dare devils with a whole lot of spunk and thirst for adventure-not a care in the world!
Bryce-he enjoyed the usual....people watching! And a little snackie poo! :)
Like long lost buddies...
Then this little turkey decided he was pretty brave too-and I turned around just in time to literally "catch" this shot! You may be wondering if I just about had a stroke???? YES! However-he is pretty darn proud of himself and the muscles he is building! lol
This is Ashley's 2nd attempt at bodyboarding....did I mention both times it lasted 1.3 seconds???? Yep-she's not very skilled in that area! lol-sorry Ash!
Then of course Parker has a go and even completes a full barrel roll.....ha ha ha-pretty smooth.
One last go around the lazy river-and afterwards the girls are both pouting about the fact that it is time to head home. What a SUPER fun and surprising memory making day with family we rarely get to see!

Awww.....Siblings

Anything you can do-I can do better......just a day in the life of siblings 16 months apart!

Enough said :)

Leavenworth with Auntie Ashley

We woke up this morning wondering what kind of adventure we might go on today....and then came up with a day trip to Leavenworth-one of our favorite places.

Bryce is always drawn to the toy shop like a magnet-but can you blame him??? Look at the fun things he finds each time.
We always have a tradition of taking pictures in the funny hat shop too....
The kids enjoyed mini "Gingerbread kids" cookies from The Gingerbread Factory-a cute "Gingerbread House" looking bakery in the heart of the city. We also found out that they have divine Chocolate Chip Cookies! (Ashley is a cookie FREAK!)
Emma found a store that took her breath away-it was full of creepy life sized porcelain dolls-whom she believed to be "Cinderelly" and "Belle".....hmmmmm?????
Allison's ALWAYS enjoy a trip to the ice-cream shop-so we couldn't pass up on a chance at Cold Stone!
A traditional German Polka Band was playing in the park and just as we were walking past, they started to play "It's A Small World"-making Em & Bryce jump for joy! EmmaLee even went out into the middle of the audience and started dancing and singing along! Brave soul-she DOESN'T get that from either one of her parents-trust me!
Leavenworth is always a good time. Glad we could share the fun with Ashley.

Family Fun in the Pool

It's always fun to go swimming at the hotel when Grandma & Papa come to town. It's even better when we have Steph & Ashley here to play with the kids in the pool (saving me from having to squeeze my rear-end in to a swim suit! :) well....that and the fact the kids adore them both.
With the girls entertaining Em, Mike was able to focus on Bryce.....can you tell how B-Man felt about that???? :) That's one happy little aquaman!
