Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail...

This morning we did things a little different than we have in the past. Instead of participating in the easter egg hunt at Suncadia, we headed there just for brunch with the Easter Bunny instead. It was DELISH! There were country red potatoes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit platters, yogurt, Orange Juice, Chocolate Milk, and a "Willy Wonka" homemade belgian waffle bar. Emma was in awe with the various choices for toppings (m&m's, sprinkles, whipped cream, chocolate malt balls, caramel sauce, maple syrup, strawberry & orange preserves, etc.) It was nice to sit down to breakfast with our friends and watch the kids light up when the Easter Bunny came around to each table.

Bryce LOVED the Easter Bunny (well from a distance). He couldn't stop staring at it saying "HI BUNNY...HI!" Emma was in silent amazement-she'd been waiting for this bunny to bring her "Chocky Eggs" for quite some time :) They sat & got pictures together with the bunny & we headed home. It was quick but relaxing-especially not hunting for eggs in the wind & SNOW that they had up there this year!
When we finally got a little free-time today, I set out the stuff that the Easter Bunny had left for the kids. They got their Easter outfits & Cadbury Chocolate eggs from Nana, a cute musical Peter Cottontail book from Grandma & Papa, and a chef hats & aprons from us! This year the special treat in the "golden egg" was a golden ticket & a toy clue that told them where their treat was hidden! It was a giant easter basket filled with Sesame Street themed toys, coloring books, stickers, etc. for the kids to share. (Gotta LOVE the dollar store-they always have the BEST trinket stuff!) It was a pretty eventful day-and as usual-Emma thought it was her birthday....oh well :)

(how cute are those puppy dog ears on his sweatshirt? awwww.)

this is typical Bryce....every year, he hunts for an egg-opens it-devours it, and then moves on to the next one to do the same thing!! Not much in the basket and egg hunting takes him FOREVER :) Havin' fun his own way I guess :)
