Mickey's Halloween Party

This year we got to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Disneyland Resort in California. We saved up all year and were able to go for 4 days! Mike was as giddy as a kid himself the moment we arrived. He is rarely THAT stoked! In fact he even made a point to say that all the little sacrifices we made this past year in order to make this trip possible, was totally worth it! Love that feeling when hard work & going without actually pays off! ha ha ha Here's some of our memories:

Don't ask how many times Mike & Bryce rode this...continually....in a row-get off the ride, get right back on-get off the ride...get back on again! Bryce is still asking days later to go to "Sully's house" (it's kinda sad :( lol)

Loves for Dadda...

Bryce of course likes the DOG the best! Good Ol' Pluto!

Proud of her new Mickey hat with her name on the back!

Nummy Mickey Ice Cream on a warm California afternoon...

Poor Bryce was afraid of his own costume and tugged on it for a good 15 minutes-even though the kid told EVERYONE he was going to be Sully this year-we tried and tried to talk him into anything else, but he wasn't having it.....good thing Mama knows better. I packed another costume just in case he was "typical Bryce-man"-but we saved it for the next night instead.
These cool HUMONGOUS inflatable floating Mickeys were only up for the party...too cute!

One of the special things about having an invitation to Mickey's Party is that you get to meet the Villians which are rarely out walking the park!

Poor EmmaLee-she was SOOOOOO excited to meet all these characters, but her little tummy wasn't feeling well and the lack of sleep was totally catching up with her. She begged to ride "Yo-Ho" and while we were on it, she puked on me 3 times! Needless to say-you are welcome that you can not smell me in this picture. I was your typical mom-covered in puke-but moving on anyways. We're at Disneyland-what can you do? The kids both fell asleep before the most awesome fireworks show. The best we've ever seen. Even for Disney! They played all sorts of fun Halloween songs-like the one they play while you are in the Haunted Mansion, etc.

The daily yummy & healthy breakfast at Jamba Juice....

Getting ready to head to FANTASMIC! Emma & Momma's FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE show! Em calls it the Mickey Magic show :)

Going on rides in the dark is THE BEST! The kids LOVE not having a "bed-time"

I heard that Tom Sawyer Island was turned into Pirates theme from the recent movies....so we HAD to check it out. Hopped on a river raft & disembarked onto PIRATE ISLAND! It is pretty neat-and a nice change of pace from the crowded park. I wish we could have spent more time there-but we were just killing time before our dinner reservations at The Rainforest Cafe-so we had to hurry. The kids could have explored this place all afternoon!!!

After dinner we made it just in time for the Pixar Play Parade. This is Bryce's all time FAV. show. Monsters Inc, The Incredibles, Toy Story, Cars, Nemo......does it get any better for this kid?

While we were at the parade-Dadda ran back to the hotel and grabbed the kids costumes so they could wear them again for their last Halloween night at Disneyland. This time-Bryce got to be Syndrome. He was pretty excited to see Dadda show up with THIS costume! Thank goodness Momma thinks ahead huh? lol

Another one of EmmaLee's favorite rides....The Haunted Mansion-turned "Nightmare Before Christmas" with Jack Skellington everywhere. They've never seen that movie-but they LOVED every second of that ride. Mike is determined to Netflix it now to see if they'll make the connection.
Mom figured out that Em was tall enough to go on Soaring Over California with Nana & Momma, so I checked the list of height requirements for the other rides in both parks and surprised Mike with the news that Em could ride his favorite ride with him this year! He was pretty proud to show Em the ropes.
