Farmers Market Kids Day & SUNSHINE!!!

Mike is gone all weekend at Honors Camp-so the kids and I decided to hit up the Farmers Market today for "Kids Day at the Market!" Sounded like a perfect morning. The sun was shining-it was beautiful out. So we hitched up ol' Brinkley & the kids walked her down to the center of town. They were itching to check out the Children's Museum. We haven't been there since they moved to the current location-but we heard it had slightly improved.
Em and Bryce enjoyed the French Bistro....

And the Space Command Center/Rocket!

The inside of the rocket led to a backlight filled room filled with stars. They LOVED it!

Lots of little voices beckoning "Captain-do you hear me?" could be hear while in the rocket itself :) I have NO IDEA where they got that phrase, but it was pretty cute.

There were those picture frames that do slideshows, attached to the ceiling with space pictures that were scrolled thru.

There was also the mountain top & new glacier slide!

The typical farm stuff that has always been there-but is obviously still loved.

A lookout on the mountain top.

And a camper in the cave-complete with stalagtites! lol

Bryce checked out the inside of the volcano with his binoculars???? And finally we went back out for a little lunch. After standing in line so nicely for almost 30 minutes for BBQ pork skewers that Bryce "had to have", they earned a little face painting before we headed for home. Of course it is Ellensburg, so we ran into MANY friends that day-including one of my preschoolers who had just completed her face paint experience!

Chow down dude! Total CARNIVORE kid!

The face paint line was just as long as the food line-but we love Mrs. Carpenter and know she does an awesome job-so it was worth the wait. The nice thing was that there was live music-by non other that a group of local high school teachers! ha ha ha. They weren't too bad either.

We couldn't bare to stay inside once we got home so we threw both puppies into the truck & headed to the river!

Binks-such a playful gal.....she was SOOOOO excited!

Oops-fell down!

Brinkley showed us her new trick-DIVING for rocks at the bottom of the river bed! Not only does she bring a rock back up after completely submerging herself-but she brings the largest one her mouth can carry-and that is PRETTY DARN BIG! Funny dog.

Poor Peyton and his allergies :(

Scratch-scratch....

scratch-scratch...

and more-

and more.....

Em discovered that Brinkley was bleeding from exerting herself too much with that rock excavating-so it was time to head home. Brinks would keep going for the next hour-but oh well.
