Road Trip to UTAH-The Gateway Fountains & Hot Tubs

Knowing we had a 12 hour car ride with the kids ahead of us, I packed them each a "Play tray" for the trip....
Each tray had a fun travel pillow (saving us from hauling their huge bed pillows), a disposable juice sippy, some snacks, a couple trinket toys & a new set of Squinkies. The idea was to play with the toys inside the tray & not make a giant mess all over the back seat. (Which actually worked!)

the contents were a hit-as you can plainly see....that Mater lollipop cracks me up!
However-once we reached Grandpa's the toys were all obsolete after the kids saw the dogs....
See-new toys are not as loved as Bryce's favorite puppy Izzy :)

Grandpa took us all down to the Gateway for a quick "cool down" in the musical fountains-a favorite beginning to our Utah trips...

Bryce wouldn't go near it this year....
Em on the other hand...completely soaked in seconds!

then
5 minutes later...

First thing Em wanted to do at Grandpa's was go in the Hot Tub-no mind that it was already 90+ degrees outside.... :)

who's that handsome dude? lucky me! :)

had to snap this-because it is SOOOOOO my dad....

THIS happened ONCE (him being in the center of the pool without clenching onto anyone). No clue why he wouldn't venture out again. That's just how he rolls I guess.

Thanks for all the fun pool toys Grammie!
