Festive Fourth Family Fiesta!

After all the fun trips to Tai Pan, Quilted Bear, Hobby Lobby & eating at fantastic places like La Costa & Cafe Rio, it was the last night of our trip. This night came all too fast. On 4th of July eve, I set out the goodies for the kids to wake up to at breakfast-marking that it was a special day.
Em even got these fun new hair pretties to shimmer in her hair tonight...(which I will be making more of soon). They are SO CUTE! Mike found them at one of the boutiques I made him go to with me :)

We got home from the zoo & started getting ready for the party that Kathleen was hosting. Everything went off without a hitch. It was a GREAT time had by all. Bravo to Kathleen for a fabulous shin-dig!

Sportin the new pretties & bedazzled jewels for the festivities-just needs a little somethin extra to top it all off.....
like 4th of July TATTOOS!!!!

seriously cute kids right? :)

sisters....of liberty don't ya know! :)

see my new cupcake stand in the background? I thought it made a great "bun holder" :) Its intended purpose was to be a "piratey" type decoration-but amazingly enough it is versitile-becoming "Americana" in a snap! :)
We all enjoy Grandpa's grillin'

My sweet little girl-growin up so fast :(

look at sneaky Dani...next thing you know, she'll take a flying leap up there! Guard your food :) Told you dad's grillin was nummers!

Guests arrive & begin to dish up some goodness.

Sorry girls-no table scraps tonight....

Auntie Hollie bought these for the kids. They were enjoyed for all-while they lasted that is....TIP: so not worth the money!

Bryce enjoyed playing "boy stuff" with his cousin Seth.

Em enjoyed playing "girlie girl" stuff with her 4 year old cousin Allison & Kathleens niece Alice. :)

The dessert spread....

The party-goers...including Ben Stacy (a family friend from England).

Enjoying Uncle Marks new Cabela's chairs!

A little girl talk between Emma & Alice

Bryce chillin with funny guy Dave

Such good boys-Seth & B

Sweet cousins....

Of course Bryce has to put his seat IN the road instead of ALONG it! Whatever...

Shooting the fireworks with water guns :) Such boys...

Cute girls-Alice & Allison (Alice REALLY looks like Kathleen here doesn't she?)

Enough said...

"Here Grandpa! Do this one next! I LIKE THE BIG ONES!"

The finale! Time for a little sparkler magic for the kids.
Dave's son was such a trooper. He set off with big fireworks with Dad & then lit most of the sparklers for all the kids. For those who have done that-you KNOW what that can do to your hands! This guy had to soak his hand in ice water for quite some time afterwards! BRAVO to you! What a great guy. Even when I thanked him for taking one for the team/kids, he said "No-thank YOU for the opportunity. It was my pleasure!" Single ladies-better snatch this one up! :)

Hollie did a great job helping entertain the kids, she bought them all festive glowstick necklaces (ALL the kids that came-not just the cousins) kept tummies full with snacks & drinks & then swept up all the fireworks mess with dad without hesitation. It was nice to see.
Mike was infatuated with the water feature in the backyard-he's been trying to talk me into one for years....so you can thank him for this shot :) Beautiful though isn't it?
After all had been cleaned up, Bryce was catchin some zzzz's inside, Hollie painted Emee's toes and taught her old school hand clap chants like: "Miss Suzy had a baby, she named him Tiny Tim......" Emma was SO excited about this new knowledge of things mom & Auntie Hollie did as kids.

We had a blast. Can't wait to do another round next year! This was one of the best 4th's YET-hands down.
