Olivia!

Marcy sent me a great idea for an OLIVIA book character inspired valentines party! For February our theme at preschool is BOOKS ARE TREASURES-so this party inspiration was P-E-R-F-E-C-T! You know me-any excuse to plan a party! My mind started RACING with ideas immediately.
First: I knew the colors HAD to be Red, Teal & Black! (A MUST, because I've actually been itching to have a red & teal party! lol)
There aren't any stores that sell Olivia paper party goods, so I had to order them online. Printed out some Olivia straw toppers from the Nick.jr website & attached them to red straws & set those inside ordinary teal paper cups.

I bought a red & black boa from ebay & made a chandelier decoration with it. A roll of fantastic black & white striped ribbon & some leftover birthday tissue paper turned into giant Pom Poms were suspended from the ceiling.

There was fun food like "Pigs in a Blanket", Olivia Oreo Cookie Pops, fresh strawberries, brownie bites, valentine cheese pinwheel wraps & a childhood favorite-chocolate milk.

For activities the kids rotated around to stations like:
Red or Black Glitter Playdough Creation Station

Red File Folder Valentine Holder Make & Take

Candy Necklace Making

Picked up a fun black ornate frame at IKEA for a photo op with the kiddies:

And an Olivia "Book Treasure" Project
The kids all seemed to have a great time. Emma & Bryce have been counting down the days to this celebration (any excuse to party....you know my 2~)

It was another fabulous LOVE day! Happy Valentines everyone-thanks to Aunt Marcy for starting this craziness!
