Summer Camp 2012 Highlights

Lots of fun at Preschool Summer Camp this year.
We've turned Pony Beads into sun catchers.....
from this
to this
We've splashed in the new kiddie carwash...
Made campfire handprint projects...

Constructed a solar oven in which we cooked S'mores for snack....
it worked quite well-and they were pretty messy!
Thank goodness for that kiddie carwash!
We turned pool noodles into a fun soccer obstacle course....

There have been times where we exploded bars of Ivory soap in the microwave, just to see what it would do....
turns out that it makes a moldable type of "play dough!"

One day we melted down jolly ranchers & made our own lollipops...

they were SUPER Yummy!
Putting black acrylic paint in Elmers glue makes a fun type of puff paint....after it dries it is fun to watercolor inside the lines. Makes a "stained glass" looking creation.

We used painters tape in the shape of our initials and did some resist art paintings.

They turned out super cute.
We've used teamwork to learn how to build a campfire...only teachers get to do the actual fire part though. :)

The funnest part about building campfires???? Heating up your tin-foil camp lunch in it!

We've eaten lots of fun snacks like:

There has been LOTS of swimming & splashin'

We've made birdfeeders....

One day we brought our lunch in a knapsack! Kind of funny....boy it has been one fun filled summer already. Momma is wondering when vacation begins????
