Today Kathleen took us all to their Rec Center to go swimming. Dad took us last year, and the kids had a great time. Hollie met us there. She attempted to talk Mr. Water-phobia into going in to the pool & OUT of the 102 degree heat....he wasn't having it. Can't negotiate with this little dude.
Em ran right in with Grammie. She had been waiting all morning for this experience!
She couldn't get enough. Bryce? Momma had to just jump in with him in tow. He was ticked for a bit, but got over it when he realized it wasn't so bad-and in fact, it was even ENJOYABLE! So Grammie swam with him for a while, and we all pretended to be sharks or pirates coming to get him. He LOVED it. His face said otherwise, but he claimed to be having fun????
Auntie Hollie & Emma attempted to ride the big slides-but alas, Em is still too short. :(
So they came back & jumped in together!
Em loves ANYTHING that splashes or POURS water all over her. The exact things that Bryce despises!
Strange. This face said "I having fun". lol
After a couple hours we headed back home, but made a quick stop at the grocery store & Grammie got everyone some CREAMIES!!!! YUM! My all time favorite ice cream treat! Nothing beats a Banana Creamie! I introduced Mike to them a few years ago at my Grandmas & he is hooked too :) Thank you Utah (& Grammie), for your yummy treats!
Hot as heck-the car says it is even 99 in the SHADE!When we got home, Dad grilled up the Corn & Costco steaks that Kathleen marinated. I HAVE to get some of that steak rub. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD! We love to grill & eat outside. It was a perfect end to a wonderful day. Oh so yummy meal & good company. Doesn't get much better than that!
of course we all enjoyed the Red Velvet Cupcakes BEFORE dinner....because that's how you roll if you are an ALLISON :)...or part Allison :)
"Oh Hi Alice in Wonderland! What's Up?....Yeah, I'm just having a picnic out here. We was swimmin' & stuff....ok-tell the Mad Hatter to call me! Bye!"
This kid is full of imagination-and I LOVE it!
What? Doesn't the Mad Hatter call your Little Tikes cell?
Words can't describe these.....oh-my-heck! WOW! Dad-you really outdid yourself!
Emma is of course disgusted because she is sitting by "meat". She is a self proclaimed "nugget-arian" you know. Prejudice to any type of meat other than a McDonalds Chicken Nugget. That is NOT an exaggeration.
Sweet Gabby girl tries to get Em to "slip her some on the D.L" :) Um....we see you Gabs!
Another beautiful Salt Lake sunset. Goodnight all.
