One of the things I LOVE to do in Utah is hit up the many craft stores/boutiques. Mike on the other hand, prefers to go to Cabela's. So every year-we head there too :) It is NEVER a quick trip-but I'm not gonna lie, it is a pretty entertaining place.
Grammie & Grandpa got the kids each a Hawaiian Shaved Ice (another favorite summer treat in Utah) from the stand outside the store.
Wow! Dadda's paradise! It's a buzzillion times better than any R.E.I.
Indoor ponds with REAL fish inside....
and more "stuffed" animals than you'd imagine. It's like being at the zoo-but nothing moves....or eats...or poops....biggest excitement of these animals day is probably being vacuumed?
There is a bobcat attempting to catch a snow rabbit in the background. Emma attempted to "shoot" it with her new Cabela's pop gun and Bryce was horrified! He literally stood in front of her gun and said "NO EMEE! NO SHOOT DA KITTY! DAT A NICE KITTY. WE NOT SHOOT DA NICE ONES!....AND NO SHOOT DA BUNNY EADER. IT NICE TOO! OK EMEE?" I could have died laughing.
Here they are shooting "naughty/mean" animals in the Sahara desert....
and ferocious bears in the mountains....
and rattlesnakes-because Momma is VERY afraid of all reptiles...
then it was like the gates of heaven opened-and the kids spotted "BIG GAME COUNTRY"! They took off with those rifles like little bolts of lightening.
"OH NO! BEARS!!!! I SHOOT DEM EMEE. NO WORRY-I GET DEM"
Look at how serious she is! HA HA HA
You could hear those guns all over the store. My dad found us no matter where we were because he said he just followed the loud "popping"!
All that hunting wore these 2 out. Good thing there is a little cafe inside the store-with BEER BATTERED, DEEP FRIED CHEESE CURDS! Um-one word describes these....DIVINE!Her new thing is to pull these oddball faces. Don't ask.
The kids call this the "video game" section & love it as you would such a game.
While Grandpa got a steal for his new lawn chairs at the register-we checked out the aquarium.
And finally home at last for yet ANOTHER dip in the "pool" :) Emma would LIVE in there if it were acceptable.
Attempting to love on Momma's favorite super soft puppy, Gabs. The admiration is not reciprocated back to Momma (or anyone else for that matter). Gabby is fiercely loyal to my dad. End of story! Sorry about my luck I guess. Gabby more "puts up with" being loved on by the rest of us :)
And such is the end to another brilliant adventurous day :)
