an All American night out

Last night our friends, the Schnebly's, treated our family to a Seattle Mariners ballgame. I was VERY hesitant about taking our 2 crazy kids to this kind of event. Let's face it, they are loud and can't sit still. What about that would be great at a ballgame with people who actually WANT to watch the game? Still-we decided to brave it. After all-it was a gift from some of our dearest friends who wanted us to experience this with them.....
The kids were super excited, because they have clearly never been to a major league baseball game before.
Once we were in Seattle-the fun began! We saw this fun mural made in the fence with cups! CRAZY!
Mike told the kids that peanuts were a MUST for ballgames! I also had to explain to Emma what Cracker Jacks were. lol. Lots of firsts today.

Safeco field is quite a beautiful park.
Courtney did a good job of picking a great first game for these 2 to attend-KIDS NIGHT at the MARINERS! So they each got a free shirt upon entry (a little on the large side, but they did NOT care-as Em said: this was their "first baseball shirt with a 1-3 on the back!" :)

The first stop-the playground of course!
Then a quick stop off at the team store where they scoured the place for the perfect first Mariners caps. I must say-they do fit their personalities to a tee! And I just can't get enough of B's little face in a hat! OOOOOOOH-I just wanna squeeze that cute face!
Thye met up with the Moose for a quick picture...Em wasn't letting go of her peanuts if her life depended on it.

We checked out the field a little and then the kids were dying to go back and play at the "baseball park" again....priorities people!

Two happy jr. Mariners fans....

USBANK sponsored a free kids carnival booth.
These 2 LOVED it! Bryce was told by a couple guys that he should consider being the Mariners relief pitcher with the arm he's got. :) He had no idea what that meant but LOVED the high 5's he got from big guys :)

Em was excited to enter a coloring contest. She colored a picture of Ichiro.

The Schnebly's attend games in S.T.Y.L.E. We had Terrace Club seats. It was AMAZING! They have ushers that open doors for you, bring you anything you want and clean up after you!!! What the heck. Plus the view ROCKED.
During batting practice, we went and checked out the other things the Terrace Club level had to offer. There was this fun photo op:

ha ha ha

And a Mariners hall of fame museum-which I found cool of course :)

Then we went and grabbed dinner before heading back to our seats. These kids meals were a steal. $6 for a big bucket filled with popcorn, cracker jacks, pop and a hot dog. These munchkins ate every bite!

Ayden was VERY into the game. He followed the whole thing & could tell you all the players and what was happening. It was quite impressive. He's very serious about this baseball business.

I took this pict because it is hilarious. As Courtney & I sat there talking, she looked over and noticed that she could see their car from our seat! Look closely under the green Washington State flag....that white suburban....yep-that's their car. Looks like she had some kind of VIP parking on a rooftop. ha ha ha.
Another shock-and first time moment of the night-EmmaLee.....EMMALEE developed a love for GARLIC FRIES! Shock of all shocks. She won't eat a hot dog or burger. Won't touch pepperoni pizza but she LOOOOOOOVES garlic fries. And-the more garlic the better???? We bought 2 deals of it because she ate 3/4 of the plate each time.
Bryce couldn't have been happier than to be at a sporting event with his buddy Ayden. He'll be so sad when Ayden is not in his preschool class next year. :(

Talking shop......

ICHIRO! ICHIRO! She loved the loud cheering and clapping.

and to end a night full of great memories-WE WON!!!!!
Thank you Schneblys! We had a great time. What an awesome gift!
