Boy oh boy, has it been quite a soccer season?! We started with a jamboree the 2nd week of September . Emma had one midweek practice and two fifteen minute back to back games that weekend.
Afterwards, thus ended the soccer season-practically....
Our air quality has been in the "unhealthy/dangerous" range ever since. Therefore, all outdoor activities throughout the valley have been cancelled until further notice.
Because of this-we had some people bail out and leave us a couple kids short for the remainder of our "playable" time left in this season. Not too much of an issue though because Bryce was all too eager to step up and volunteer!!! Mike said he would help coach if B could join the team. Coach Greg agreed. :)
Last night was our first practice/scrimmage since September. Here Bryce was introduced as a new player on the team. His best buddy, Blake, is on his right. They are OOOOOOBER excited about playing together now! Since B just joined ranks last night, he didn't have any soccer gear on, but he was given his jersey. In no time at all-he ripped off his Mater shirt and proudly sported the Signdog name! He was a happy camper if ever I've seen one....who cares if he was playing in ripped jeans and crocs?
Although it is technically Emma's team-she was excited for her brother to get to play-I'm so proud that she wasn't bent out of shape about him stealing her thunder. She could have cared less, more than anything I think she was just excited to be running around outside again. It was beautiful last night-great night to watch munchkins giggle, sprint and score in opposing teams goals! Such a lack of skills from having one practice under their belts...made for some good laughs.
Here is hoping the games are still on for this weekend???
