Well It's ABOUT TIME!

She did it! My bestie won teacher of the year for the Ellensburg School District! The shock to me is that this is the first time she has ever received this honor! It's been quite the roller coaster of emotions for her. An incredible honor & experience. She was asked to put together her teaching philosophy & personal bibliography to share with the school board after her nomination. Together we came up with these documents to showcase herself...I designed-she wrote. They turned out GREAT and the board was stunned. Of course! It was over. the. top!

 and to think these ideas blossomed from my tiny little job resume "meet the teacher" flyer! We stepped it UP! ha ha

 Then the newspaper came in and interviewed her during class this week. Bryce's head made it into both photographs! lol

 

Now our school is throwing her a celebration-as is traditional for these things-and you'll never guess who is spearheading it!? Yep. So now I am in full "adult style/classy" luau party planning mode. I've got a few weeks and haven't heard the budget numbers yet-I'm sure they are minimal, this is the school district after-all. Shannon is so excited to have what she calls a "kristi" party because sadly, the woman has NEVER....I mean N.E.V.E.R had a party in her life! No childhood parties, no formal wedding, no reception, NADA. This will be her first. So-we are going BIG people! Hang on tight-this will be a CRAAAAAZZZY next couple months! I've got some surprises up my sleeve, and the woman has been relentless on wanting some party scoop but-my lips are sealed. It will be a memory she will treasure. Until then I am STRESSED OUT!
